QUICK VA TIP - Use CROP TOOL to Crop an Image

The crop tool  allows you to select  certain area of an image and discard  unneeded portion.  With graphics editing software cropping  is  easy,  though  the common word processing programs like MS Word  and Powerpoint can be equally useful.

To crop the image  insert the picture on the document.  Then click the crop tool at the upper right-side of the screen. The picture outline will change to an interrupted line. Using the mouse, drag the lines inside the picture to discard the unwanted details.
